Tortilis Camp is situated on a sprawling private concession, accessed from within the renowned Amboseli National Park. Guests can expect elegant accommodation and endless views stretching to the majestic snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru in Tanzania.The size of the property and the permanent feel of the central areas means that Tortilis is very much a ‘lodge’, with individual dining and fairly set schedules, but the camp has a history of good management and is always enjoyed by guests wanting to experience Amboseli.
There are two good family units and swimming pools making it a popular options for families. Amboseli is known for its elephant populations, especially during the long dry season (July to October), its proximity to Mount Kilimanjaro (the best place in Kenya for views of the mountain) and the park also offers good predator viewing and birding.

FAMILY TENT- The views of Mt Kilimanjaro are enjoyed from the comfort of your own private family verandah, Tortilis Camp’s Family Tent is a great addition to this child-friendly safari camp in Amboseli.The Family Tent consists of one double en suite bedroom, one twin en suite bedroom, and a spacious private verandah. Featuring a swimming pool shared with the Private House.
PRIVATE HOUSE- The private house has 2 en suite bedrooms with either a king or twin beds. The spacious free-flow living and dining areas look out over Amboseli and on clear days you’ll have a spectacular view of Kilimanjaro. The house has a swimming pool, private guide and game drive vehicle. Meals are served in the privacy of the house or at the nearby lodge, depending upon your preference.
