Tour Overview
Zanzibar is a semi-autonomous archipelago off the coast of Tanzania in East Africa. It consists of several islands, with the main ones being Unguja (commonly referred to as Zanzibar Island) and Pemba. The capital and largest city is Zanzibar City, located on the island of Unguja.
Zanzibar has a rich history shaped by its strategic location along trade routes. It was a major center for the spice and slave trades, and its culture reflects a blend of African, Arab, Persian, Indian, and European influences. Stone Town, the historic part of Zanzibar City, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its narrow winding streets, historic architecture, and vibrant markets.

This day begins with a visit to one of Zanzibar’s famous spice farms, where you’ll see, smell, and taste cloves, vanilla, nutmeg, and cinnamon in their natural environment. Later, take a boat ride to Prison Island, home to giant Aldabra tortoises and coral-fringed beaches perfect for snorkeling. Enjoy a picnic lunch by the sea before returning to the mainland for another relaxing evening.

Enjoy a free day to soak in the beauty of Zanzibar's coastline. Lounge on Nungwi or Kendwa Beach, or dive into optional activities such as scuba diving, deep-sea fishing, or a romantic sunset dhow cruise. Alternatively, opt for a pampering day at the resort.
