Day 1: Nairobi – Samburu National Reserve
Depart Nairobi early morning and journey through the central highlands, passing tea and coffee plantations en route to Samburu. Arrive at the lodge or camp in time for lunch. Relax and prepare for your first afternoon game drive in this rugged and picturesque reserve. Dinner and overnight at your selected camp/lodge.
Day 2: Full-Day Game Drive in Samburu
Spend the entire day exploring the reserve, home to the famous "Samburu Special Five": Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, Beisa oryx, gerenuk, and reticulated giraffe. Spot elephants, lions, leopards, and an abundance of birdlife. Enjoy a picnic lunch by the river or return for a hot meal. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 3: Samburu – Cultural Visit & Leisure
After breakfast, visit a local Samburu village for a cultural tour to learn about their traditional lifestyle and customs. Return to the camp for lunch and a leisurely afternoon—swim, rest, or enjoy a short nature walk. Optional evening game drive available. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Samburu – Nairobi
Take a final early morning game drive and return for breakfast. Check out and begin your journey back to Nairobi, with scenic stops along the way. Arrive in the evening, marking the end of a memorable adventure.
